Our story began over three decades ago with a big dream and even bigger determination. In the summer of 1989, Peg Liebert—known to friends and family as “Mabel” or “Peg”—started planning what would become Mabel’s Kitchen, a catalog featuring Kansas-themed apparel, gifts, and merchandise. At the time, many saw it as wishful thinking for a woman aiming to take on established retailers in the area. Meanwhile, her husband Tim worked as an engineer, supporting the family and the vision they were building together.

With the help of Tim and their three children, Peg turned her idea into a thriving business. What began as a catalog evolved into Kansas Sampler—a retail concept that quickly took shape in five storefronts. These stores specialized in officially licensed gear for Kansas University (Jayhawks), Kansas State University (Wildcats), the Kansas City Chiefs, and the Kansas City Royals, quickly becoming a beloved destination for local sports fans.

As the family’s business flourished, so did the demand for licensed sports apparel and fan gear. By the late 2000s, Tim and Peg made the strategic decision to appoint their son, Aaron Liebert, as CEO and expand beyond the Kansas City metro area. Following the challenges and triumphs of 2008, the family business evolved once again. What emerged was a new kind of retail experience—Rally House.

Today, Rally House has grown to include 284 stores across 22 states, including Kansas, Missouri, Texas, Illinois, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Kentucky, Nebraska, New Jersey, Iowa, Indiana, Arkansas, Arizona, Colorado, Louisiana, Maryland, Minnesota, New York, Wisconsin, West Virginia, and Oklahoma.
